Tracking down oil leak or burning oil in exhaust
Here is the backstory:
It was time for a timing belt job, but a broken bolt during the job lead to a BSE kit install because I had to remove the front case, which meant the oil pan came off. I used Honda Bond to re-seal the pan, but after a week or so of driving I noticed a small oil leak from the pan. I used UV oil dye to track it down to the pan before I went ahead and removed it. After confirmation I removed the pan, clean both surfaces VERY well and used Permatex Right Stuff Gasket Maker since I've had success with that on my DSMs. I made sure to wait 24 hours before adding oil. Started the car and ran it to operating temp to check for big leaks then turned it off. Cleaned the underside as best I could with brake cleaner and rags. The UV dye stained and I can't seem to get most of it off, but oh well.
So I go to drive it for the first time after the second oil pan sealing and noticed some smoke out the front of the car at a traffic light. Smelled vaguely of burning oil, or coolant, it was hard to tell. So I pulled over and saw some smoke coming from the flex section of my downpipe. Drove it back home and took my truck to work. After work I added some UV dye again and took it for a spirited drive. I couldn't spot ANY oil near or around the oil pan either with a flashlight or with the black light. However I did notice some smoking coming from the flex section which is also rusting pretty bad (its definitely an exhaust leak). I couldn't see any oil near the exhaust, so I have to assume its inside the exhaust whatever is smoking.
At this point I'm looking for ideas of what it might be so I can do some troubleshooting. I don't have an oil catch can setup, so maybe its recirculated oil from the crank case burning off in the ehxaust? I never had any problems before I did the timing belt job.

Oil from your previous leak got caught in the flex pipe. When the car is cool (sitting over night) soak that flex in brake clean wipe it down, let it dry. Drive the car for a few days. It will smell and smoke. After a few days it should stop and be normal. If not then you have an exhaust leak.

Well I definitely have an exhaust leak at the flex section. Its rusting through and needs to be replaced. I sprayed it all down last night with carb cleaner and brake cleaner and let it dry overnight. Drove it today and it seemed better. I still had a faint smell of burning oil, but not as bad as yesterday.
