FP white FAIL :(

so last night my poor little FP white rabbit decides its had enough boost in its life and takes a dump on me... well i made around 400whp on pump gas and never got to e-85 it... my motor is still pretty much stock with cams and all bolt ons.. what would you guys do if u were in my boat..? upgrade to a bigger turbo and let the rods fly, or maybe a slightly bigger FP turbo ?

i just want to see a 10.99999999999 pass on my DD is that too much to ask for haha

You could always have it rebuild. FP has a rebuild service on most turbos even if they dont offer it anymore.

Theres a guy on the dsmtuners forums named justin who rebuilds turbos relatively cheap and does a decent job. I go through a guy named austin who made my 20g for my talon out of a 14b stock turbo. Point is I would search around and do a rebuild. Idk if cost is an issue or not but it would be cheaper. Down side is your car would have to be down for a little bit. Turn around time is usually a week with a rebuild depending where you go.

I'd look into this option. It seems as though the 71HTA has replaced the white in FP's lineup.

no, i believe the 71hta is based off of the evo9 turbo, this is based off evo8 with the 9.8 hot side.

Are you sure? I was nearly positive the FP White was also based off the 9 turbo. I thought it was a 10.5 hotside with a 68HTA wheel on the compressor side.

*edit* answered my own question. Thanks for the info. You learn somethin' new every day!

FP White is based off a IX turbo. The White Rabbit is off an VIII.

im torn between the 2 because my white rabbit was like "instant-on" the spool was insane fast and it had pretty good top end.. but im considering the black strictly on more HP... im just not sure if my daily driver/all around racecar needs as much lag as i predict will come with the black.. nor if i have intrest in a 100= mph powerband... i kinda like the 0-100mph powerband, or its what im used to... hahaha i dont know what i want
