i am using a prosport with temp sensor in the drain plug. I have yet to see it get over 180*F. Where is your temp sensor located and what weight oil are you using?

it all depends on the temp outside

in summer i see 90*C on my gauge after running the car hard
normal stop and go driving i see somewhere around 70*C
highway is somewhere around 60*C

this is in 90*F + outside temps

and im using the factory MR gauge, which takes the temp reading from the drain plug

Same here; the hottest I've seen in the summer is 90*C on the stock MR oil gauge

I have a prosport and use a sandwich plate that I bought from them too. Replaced my mr gauges. On the oem gauges the readout was generally around 70*C, but I saw it peak just above 90* with hard driving. On the prosport, I saw anywhere between 160-200*F depending on temp outside and how hard I drove it. Hope that helps.

Hmm, my glowshift read really low form the get go. 120*f tops, now after a few months it gets up to 140-150*f. Reads alot lower then the rest of your guy's gauges, I guess i should replace it.

In the heat down in Miami mine will peak in the 220's. (Using prosport gauge and sandwich adapter)

Im running my Defi's off oil filter housing. I see between 180 and 190F. I have my warning a 205 and it has not gone off yet. I literally just installed oil temp and pressure 2 weeks ago. So these are summer temps. I'm running Amsoil 10w-30
