Oh ya! my parents say that the dealer did stop by to take a look and some pictures of the car sitting in the garage and the odometer just to make sure... its all so odd I've never heard of a dealership doing this... you'd think there was something special about mine that I don't know about? Weird

check under all the seats for diamonds and/or cocaine. that's the ONLY reason i could imagine them wanting it back so bad, unless of course they got it when they "looked at the odometer".

dealer prolly did some drug runnin before you had it or sumpin. it is in florida after all.

This deal just doesn't sound right!!! Definitely check your car out. As for someone wanting an 03 Black EVO, the dealer should not have any problem. There's sth called a dealer trade that your dealer can do if they wanted a black one and believe me there are plenty of EVos even black ones still sitting in the dealer lot...hell there are 3 here in Michigan and about 6-8 in Ohio. The reason i know is that i'm getting the car in a week and i've been calling dealerships asking how many and what colors they have.

How about you tell them to give you the front diff from the RS and save them some time and trouble, and the tell them to go f*ck themselves. NO car dealer would be on your nuts like this unless they were going to make a serious profit off the transaction. Mitsu dealerships are slimey watch your back. On the other hand if you go through with the deal you will be gaining a 100,000 mile "warranty" and I say that while laughing, if one is even offered on the RS model. Food for thought, just watch out for #1 man. And my statement, to be fair, has to do with every entity of Mitsu in Texas excluding my service department.

This all sounds very fishy... I'm starting to wonder about the history of your car that's more to reality... something you would only catch after driving the car more or a few washes later? hmm...

You mean like there might be some design defect or something that they know about that I don't?

Keep your tarmac black, you will still need to install a radio, paint your rearview mirrors/doorhandles, and go through the hassle of refinancing another car. Don't do it, it would be foolish. The dealer has an alterior motive, they aren't just trying to be nice guys. You would be basically trading in a car to get the same car you have now, don't make sense

Your dealers seems tooo eager to get a 03 Tarmac when most dealers can do a trade for a new 03 still.

Recheck all your financing paperwork.... see if there is a gross error in the interest payment calculations.

Ask yourself other reasons why a dealer would bend over backward this far to get a technically used car back from the purchaser.
