Ok guys I need to know whats up before I go through with this. As some of you know I'm up here in Ohio and my Tarmac Black baby is down in FL chillin in my garage. My dealer called me up and wants me to bring it in when I graduate in June and exchange it for an '04 RS. So I asked about the 100 or so pounds of "body fat" that would be missing i.e. power everything, a/c. She says no problem it will all be put in for me at no charge and I would be getting $2k back. Right now no mods to my toy she's just resting in storage... only 40 somethin miles on it.. (I know my profile says 100 and I know it should be a crime for drivin it for so few miles
) I wanted your guys opinions on this before I make my decision. The only valid reason I am guessing they want to do this is because someone is interested in one that is still an '03 and has hardly any miles on it. Any other ideas?? Thanks guys

So there gonna install PW, AC, HIDS, ABS, and sound deadining all for no cost just so you can have an 04 RS. Plus there gonna give you 2k. It makes no sense to me why would a dealer even consider doing something like that.Just so someone could have an 03? Imagine the parts and labor they would have in converting an RS into a loaded model. I'm must be missing something here.
Whats the point?

The "RS"...
hah..
Stands for "Really Stupid"
Keep the car you have..Unless you plan on putting the RS on the racetrack or else keeping it in a plastic bubble the rest of it's life..(some jokers think this car will be worth a ton in 25 years)
Tell them not to touch your baby!!

I'm offended by that comment, "RS" doesnt mean "really stupid"
It means Real smart, really serious, real sensual, real sexy !!!
Heh, I wouldn't trust ANY Mitsu dealership to install said items to upgrade a RS to a regular Evolution.
Unless they plan on bringing in a specially trained technician from Japan to do the work, I wouldn't do it.

So you want to add the 100+ lbs back into the RS if you get it? I wouldn't trust any dealer to add those things on. What's the point of the RS if you add all that **** back in? Sounds like too much hassle. I say keep your tarmac.

Hey guys... I read up on it and it seems that the RS will come with an "Urban Jungle Package" which contains all the stuff that they cut out originally. So I'm guessing that they wouldn't have to do any installs on there own. Believe me I asked if they would do the installs on their own and if they did I would have died laughing. I'm still 50/50 on this. I'm having them fax me the numbers so I should be hearing from them in a couple of days...
