Question Driver side tail light out!

If anybody could help me with this I would be very very grateful

ISSUE:

Driver side tail light is out as is the license plate lights as well (same circuit). Brake lights work fine though.

What I've done:

I checked all the fuses under hood and under dash and all fuses are good. I switched the light housing (left to right visa versa) and the left side worked on the right for the tail lights so the housing is good as well. Whats weird is I pulled all the fuses out under the dash and put them back in and the tail light worked fine again for about a week and then out of no where stopped working again. Tried that trick again but no luck. Please HELP !!!!

If they are working then not working for no reason you have a wiring issue probably a loose ground.

Check your grounds if that doesnt work it will be an obvious electrical issue. It's probably not major I would take it to a professional car electrician.

loose ground, possibly corrosion. Check the connector for any nicks in the wiring. Does your trunk leak?

I dont think my trunk leaks. Where should I look for the ground(s) to see if they are loose? Im guessing I should check the license plate lights for loose ground as well since it is in the same circuit?

There's a wiring harness that plugs into the fuse panel under the dash. Remove/reinsert it and see if that changes anything. Installed a cruise control recently and left that harness unplugged and similar things happened.

The whole chassis harness is known to sometimes get corroded at the firewall and cause a ton of electrical issues. The easiest way to see if there is a ground issue is measure the resistance to ground from the harness and if it is above 1ohm there is an issue.

Sounds like you got High Resistance in your circuit..use a Dvom and check for High resistance and also check see if your getting enough voltage.

What exactly do you mean by rear bumper lights? Ive also noticed when I use the turn signal for the left side the blinker on the dash flashes really fast but none of the light bulbs are bad???

The same fast flashing happened when I left that harness unplugged.

Unplugged both harness that go into the underdash fuse box (white, gray) and plugged it back in. No luck

If I am getting high resistance, how do I fix it? Install another ground and what about getting more power to it if that is an issue?

Anybody know which fuse controls these lights (under dash or under hood)? I am guessing under dash since removing those fuses and replacing them fixed it last time for about a week.
