My ac blows cold, but I only use it on the highway. If I use it on the street my car will stall when I come to stops or even slow down. Have had this problem over 2 years and have no fix in site.

When my car had A/C it blew pretty cold. I couldn't complain at all on the highway. But the A/C would, more often then I care to experience, make my car stall. Often when coming to a stop the A/C would bog the engine down.

The AC in my IX is great. I lived in Hawaii for 5 years and it kept me and my family cold, much cooler than my wifes Toyota.

The AC on my Evo X works perfect! It gets plenty cold and I don't even have it on full blast.

Wow. If there isn't a fix for the stalling/bogging issue, I definitely will not be purchasing an Evo.

I suspect it is not an issue unless the car is heavily modified. My car has never stalled because of AC. On a hot day stuck in traffic it is less than I would want but it does the job when you are moving. It also doesn't help that the aluminum shift knob gets so hot I cannot touch it. Nothing beats the AC in my trailblazer.

That's what I want to hear! I doubt I would do anything more than turn up the stock boost, and minor bolt ons. Traffic will never be an issue where I live.

the one on my IX is ice cold in city or highway. i just wish the center vents were a bit easier to adjust when car was moving, especially with a firm suspension

The only time my AC Stalls the Talon was when the ISC was bad. Of course, its got a very mild bolt-on cam. The only upgrade in the valve-train was an entire IX used valve train. It doesn't lope, the cams are degreed. Even if you go with a set of mild cams, as long as you degree them, and get a good idle tune your gonna be fine.

That's funny, my dream car is a DSM. I just simply can't find one I like, so I started looking at an evo/s2000. For some reason, I feel the need for forced injection lol.

Same here. No stalling (?). The AC is not GM-cold, but it certainly does the job. That being said, I've used it a handful of times in the last 6 years. Hate the sh/t.

On a personal note, I love how this is now an "AC issue." Issue. As if the car was sold with an inability to run its accessories. Times like this is when I wish for pics to be attached to usernames.

I'm also in the the south florida area. i dont tend to use the car too often, but i did take her out and drove her to work last week, the weather has been regularly in the High 90s
the A/C worked perfectly for a 7 year old car.

A/C works great when it's put on recirc mode. Bogs the engine a little bit sometimes but never stalls. Better check your tune or ICV if your stalling.

The AC does ok on recirc, despite bogging the car way down. Overall it works just fine
