still doesnt make it safe. almost every stock turbo car runs pig rich from the factory for safety reasons.

i would do a boost leak test and make sure everything is ok,then contact tom at tscompusa and have him look at it. he will make your car run 100x better and safer.

I don't think I have a boost leak but I think I should invest in a tester kit. I see a good one on the Mellonracing.com site. And yes the car is here with me in Italy. And the car runs 10 AFR because it's a stock map (well, now it's a stock map). I will run this test when I get the kit in but that will take some time. I'm going to search for 'field expedient' methods for boost leak testing in the meantime. It's interesting how all these little things come up when you get one of these cars and start trying to get bang for your buck out of them.

BTW- with the stock fuel maps, boost maps, and the timing that I put up it is hitting 230 and the boost is hitting 20.3psi@4500rpm. Before it was hitting 220 and 19.1psi (with that TTP tune or whatever). The smooth acceleration of the JDM RS MIVEC is neat.
