Weird black build up in 3rd and 4th cylinders

I checked my plugs/coils the other day and noticed this black build up in the 3rd and 4th cylinder.

First picture is inside of the 1st/2nd coil (clean)
Second picture is inside of the 3rd/4th coil (black stuff)
The third picture is how the top of the spark plugs from the 1st/2nd cylinders look.
The 4th picture is how the top of the 3rd/4th look (black stuff)

Any idea what that is and why it's happening?

Engine Earl! There are individual oil seals around every spark plug hole. You must remove valve cover to replace. Very easy fix!

edit: oops, are you talking about the carbon-like build-up?
