Thinking of selling the Evo

Well, I've had my car for 9 months and I think I am going to sell her. I've had my fun with it and now I am just bored of it I suppose. Who knows I may change my mind but for right now it seems like the only logical thing to do since I'm spending more time, money, and effort on my DSM. Don't get me wrong, I love the Evolution and I always will, but for right now its not the right car for me.

Why did you guys get rid of it? Wasn't practical enough? Too expensive?

hey it's not for everyone. I'm getting to the age where I almost considered not getting it due to the image and 2f2f movie. I also don't want every 'kid' staring at my car. But oh do I love the rally car formula. We'll see in a few months since I've only recently gotten mine and cant even drive it (snow).

What did you trade it for? something more luxurious?

BTW StinkyTofu, nothing personal, I can't stand the stuff! My wife loves it being a native.. she made my try it once. Never again.

I was just wondering if it was because of the clutch problems and such. I just bought mine on Tuesday, and I can smell clutch just going up the driveway, but they say it's normal when it's all new still. I've got just over 400 miles on it.

It wasn't because of the price, I can afford it but it is holding me back on modifying my other car which is almost done. Someday, I might buy another Evo.

Take your foot off the clutch....!!! When you rev too much while suppressing the clutch, it will burn!!! I have that happened to be several times. Just be more concious when going up the drive way.

Have you run any laps at the Motorsport Ranch or Texas Motor Speedway?

The evo costs more then my NSX to keep up. I just put tires on it yesterday $900, plus align it and mount and balance $200 more. oil changes $60. I love the car and will never sell it but it is a LOT more to keep up then most think.
