AEM UEGO in "Lancer" Gauge Cluster
so i used to have my afr and boost gauge on my steering wheel pod but multiple times ive come close to running out of gas by the gauge being blocked and running on E85 that can be bad... so i switched to the a pillar pod but now Im putting in a roll cage and it will again block my gauges so i decided to try that UEGO in lancer gauge in the cluster... after much searching there isnt many writes up with good info so i figured i would wing it and see what happens and wouldnt you know it turned out awesome and only took about an hour
1st step is to obviously remove the cluster itself which was actually very easy
then disassemble is by taking the clear cover off, and the back piece, and the circuit board (circuit board will not come out till you remove the cluster needles simply place a flat head under them and pry up).
next you gotta get a little dangerous and start cutting things apart haha till you get to this point, i found a dermel and a sanding bit work perfect, you also have to cut the gauge down to just above the circuit board, i also sanded down the thread around the top of the UEGO to allow for more room to maneuver (these are not my pictures i forgot to take pics at this step, but looks identical)

and you just gotta play with it till you get the right amount shaved out so it fits in the opening nicely kinda like so

once you get to this point i mocked it in place and checked the fit against the circuit board to make sure it sat high enough and to see what part of the board needed to be cut
there are i believe 5 lights that you can remove that control stupid things like the seat belt lights and things of that nature... heres what i cut out of the board

once that was cut i again mocked it in place and checked fitment to ensure nothing had moved and once i was satisfied with its location i used some JB Weld to hold it in place where i wanted.
then assemble the cluster (DO NOT PUT THE CLEAR PIECE THAT COVERS CLUSTER ON YET wait till it is in the car since you will have to reinstall needles when car is in accy mode) and you will need to cut the very back piece that protects the circuit board like so ( i just hacked away here no need for anything pretty )

and last but not least i put it back in the car and checked to make sure everything was working correctly... since the cluster needles needed to come off turn the car to accy mode and place the needles at the appropriate place (this took a couple tries)

and once that done it should hopefully look a little something like this... pardon the dirtiness i am in the middle of blacking out my interior

if you have any question please shoot me a PM id be glad to help ya out... if i missed anything i apologize but that seems about right haha
