Hey guys gotta quick question for ya. So im hitting up the dyno this thursday and im trying to reach 600whp. My question is is it reachable on stock head with cams? I have 2.4 stroker so not high reving but most 600 hp evos i see have atleast springs and retainers. Thanks for any info

 

Unless they are mild cams you probably should have springs and retainers

 

They are bc 272's so there mid. Not too agressive like jun but better then hks

 

Personally I would run springs and reatainers on anything over 264s just for a piece of mind cause it's not fun the float valves... Im sure about the evo 4g63 but I know when I built my eclipse bc recommended springs and retainers for all their cams over 264s

BC 272s are mild now days. With a 2.4L, I'd step up to something bigger while installing spring and retainers as stokers like big cams to help fill the cylinders.
