Carbon Fiber Sunroof

Hey guys check this out, I am making my own carbon fiber sunroof, almost done with it but I'm a little busy lately. Let me know what you think. I should have it on my car in a week or 2 at most.

Did you wrap the factory glass? Where did you get the cf from?

well yes and no, I dont know what you mean wrap the factory glass, I did it the pro way or best way I can without using injection. I casted a mold of my factory glass. The carbon fiber weave pattern is perfect huh? Matches OEM spoiler pattern and has most tensile strength. My buddy with an evo 9 got me the sheets.

Ok nice. That's the way I was hoping you were doing it. Yea I have been looking for that 1x1 cf everywhere. Everyone only sells the 2x2 cf

umm it's going to be functional I want the downforce, and I didn't reinforce the **** out of it for nothing. I'm going to make some custom brackets to make it a bolt on. But I'm not too sure if it will come back down from tilt properly for the weatherstrip but I test placed it on with tape only and it seems to fit well with the weatherstrip. I'm not too worried I might just have to push it down if and edge of the weatherstrip gets caught and if I want it closed. I'm also not worried about any small leaks, the ssl if equipped with a drainage system for sunroof you can see the front holes in the corners easily. I have driven in rain with the sunroof tilted if it doesnt rain hard cuz I smoke.

will do, after I'm done. Thanks for all the compliments and encouragement guys, really tired lately but I'll get back to it tonight, still got to sand and buff as well... it'll all be worth it though, just got to keep my eyes on the prize.
