i wouldn't even remotely worry about it being totaled out with that kind of damage

Sad to hear the bad news about your RS. Its one of those situations that could have been prevented. The Evo should not be totaled but it depends on the shop. If they are not familiar with the Evo they might charge more labor to fix it in the estimate.

Total.

Hood $1200
Fender $600
Headlight $900
Side skirt?

Other stuff, plus paint... RS doesn't book much.
Mine was totaled with less damage a while back.

Buy it back and get used parts if you can find them.

Isn't this the 3rd RS that has been totalled this week?

Its going to be close to total. But like the guy said above, buy it back and fix it up!

It will probably be totalled, if not it will be close. I got into an accident a little bit ago going about the same speed same kind of damage. The adjustor estimated the cost at 7400, ended up being 18,100.
Good luck.

Still waiting to hear back from insurance.. If it is totaled, how difficult/expensive is it to get the car legal to drive on the road again?

It's up to you!! Even if the insurance tries to total the vehicle there are other options. When I got in my wreck they totaled my car due to costs. However, I worked with the body shop and found parts on the forums and was able to fix the car for significantly less. The insurance company was happy to cut me a check instead of buying me a new car and the check was for a liability release not for the car, which means the car kept a clean title. In my state the car is totalled when the damage exceeds %60 of the value, and the insurance cut me a check for this amount. With that money you could easily fix the damage to you car, and in my case it also paid for some extra goodies. Good luck.
