Cluster (odometer) trouble :/ HELP PLEASE!!!!

So I bought an 2005 Evo MR from a guy not too long ago. For some reason when I bought it the fuel gauge remains all the way to the top. The light for low fuel comes on so that bad but not a biggie. No one could figure out what the problem was so they advice me just to buy another cluster which I did. The mileage is not the same of course but the gauges did work. Now here is where it gets complicated, I tried pulling my old cluster apart to see if I could change the fuel gauge from on to the other. It seemed difficult when I wana half way with it so I decided to put it back together and leave it alone, although I am not sure if I damaged something??

I tried putting my old cluster back on the car just to realize that now neither the fuel Or the temperature gauge work. They both remain all the way to the top which I find really weird.

When I switch And put my purchased cluster one last time I notice that both gauges work on this one but the mileage is not accurate.
As I was driving to work this morning I notice that my temperature gauge was in the middle which is normal, but sometimes it will rise like 3/4 and sometimes it will drop like 1/4 basically it wouldn't remain in the middle all the time the way it's supposed to.
My question is, is my engine overheating?? How can I do to solve my cluster issues??
Also when I am sitting at a light the oil light flashes. Advice please??
Flashing "oil" light is never good.
Do you have an Oil pressure gauge?
And the collant temp issue could be the sensor/thermostat.
While you were swapping clusters, did you completely disconnect the battery?
Fuel level sender could be bad if the previous owner mucked with it (like most do when they swapped fuel pump).
The odometer info is stored in the cluster itself, so you are seeing the milage from previous car.
I would be more concern with oil light because your engine won't run much longer if it's a true oil pressure issue.

About swapping clusters I didn't disconnect the battery. I know I am dumb for not doing it. Will this fix the temp if I disconnect the battery and re-do it? Advice
The car came with a walbro fuel pump so idk if that affect it. Advice
And lastly about my oil light, I heard it could be an oil pressure sensor, an oil pressure switch, the actual oil pressure, or an oil pump. But how can I tell?? Advice
I would rule out the oil pressure issue first by installing an oil pressure guage. It's not that expensive.
Could you please post a pic of the "original" one? I am not sure what you meant by "previous owner added an AEM air/ fuel ratio gauge and a AEM tru boost gauge on the side panel".

Ok here are the pics of it the first one is the factory one "original" disconnected.
The second one are the gauges on it currently working.
What about the other issue of the engine coolant temp gauge and the fuel gauge??

Those are oil temp, volts and boost pictured.
Your thermostat may be bad or your headgasket is blown. From what I have read about your car, you have nothing but problems so you should probably just sell it.

You didn't just buy, Evo. You bought someone's $%^ed-up Evo.
At this point you should check out your engine first to make sure it has healthy oil pressure. Buy an Oil Pressure gauge. Autometer has one for under 100 bucks. Plump it in. Go from there.
Once you know your engine is good then work on the gauges. Looks like your should bring it to a 12V specialist.

Ok so the issue of the gauges was kinda resolved. Apparently the gauge's needles were kinda loose so I re-did it. The coolant temp seems to remain in the middle and the gas gauge seems to be working too. Now I am taking your advice about the oil pressure gauge but how much of a pain in the a$$ is that to put in? will I need a tune after I install it?
Since this issue just began you think is probably the sensor? switch? pump? lines?

Check the stock sensor and make sure there is nothing touching it or the line.
Then if you still have flickering oil light get you a new gauge
A new oil pressure gauge is not too hard to install if you have done a gauge before. The tricky part is where to tap for pressure.
