newbie need help with intercooler & piping fitment
I agree. I have a different setup but when I ran into fitment issues with my ETS piping and ebay IC, buying new 45 degree couplers corrected the problem. Although when I get a matching ETS IC, I'll have to buy different couplers but I'll worry about that when I get there.
I feel like the first time anyone messes with the piping in our cars, some simple but completely necessary things are often over looked and cause some kind of problem down the road (literally).
- If the pipe doesn't fit naturally, you should probably buy some new couplers. There are MANY varieties like elbows, reducers, and elbow reducers.
- ALWAYS USE T-BOLT CLAMPS
- Hairspray is your friend
By utilizing the above three the chance for boost leaks and blown intercooler piping (happened to me TWICE and could have been really dangerous) is substantially reduced.
But then again when I was told these things I blew them off and ended up sadly disappointed on the side of the road with my gf in the rain..tight...

Thanks guys! If you need a complete piping kit, let me know! We have plenty of options to choose from. Gloss Black, Flat Black, Brushed Stainless Steel, Polished Stainless Steel, etc.
Thanks,
Michael
