look at the tech specs, it tells you the diameter of the spring and retainer

Just buy the bc springs with the retainers, don't get me wrong gsc beehives work, but the spring design is different, personally I'm running bc springs retainers for past 45 k.....no issues.

I have been running BC Springs + Retainers for 30k on HKS 272s and want to switch to GSC S2s with their Beehive Springs. I really don't want to spend the extra $200 on another set of retainers if the BC Ti ones will fit. That does make sense that they are a different design of spring so they probably wont fit. I would like a definitive answer though.

then i would call bc and gsc up tell them what you wanna do and find out if there interchangable. No one here including myself would know unless you look up the specs, personally I wouldnt mix n match two valvetrain companies with different parts that are designed different. Cams one company and valvetrain another, yea you should be fine. So trying to get your answer, go to the source. good luck

GSC Spring dimensions:

Inner dimension - .5700
Outer dimension - .742

Now you just need the ID and OD for the BC's and you will have a definitive answer.. Does anyone have these measurements?

No they do not work. BC retainers are not made for a beehive spring, this is a DEFINITE answer. I have been through this with many customers in the past.

This is what we run on the race car. Greg's GSC S2's and Beehive springs and retainers. Love the cams, as they produce too much power for our hp to weight requires us to pull timing and boost. And, (it's a secret so don't tell anyone), I've missed a shift here and there. Not often mind you, but it has happened and, to date, (cross your fingers) no issues with a fast spike to 8500 before I catch it. I think his springs make all the difference in keeping those valves from becoming extremely angry when I happen to find 3rd instead of 5th for a half an instant on the downhill to T6 at WGI. Again, if you say anything...I'll deny it...

GSC - great cams.

There are quite a few people (including myself) who ran/run S2s on BC springs/retainers without any issue whatsoever. I personally wouldn't worry about it. Just my .02.
