hey guys, ive been lurking for a while, and am starting to rebuild my crunched evo i picked up a few weeks back

shes an 03 evo 8

and in need of the front end rebuild

the biggest thing on my list that im a little concerned about is the radiator support core. Im talking about the entire front frame of the car basically that holds the radiator, intercooler, aux fan, headlights, ect...

looks like to me that it will come out of there BUT ill have to cut a weld or two as well

can anyone confirm this for me please?

Also can someone confirm that this ebay part will fit, yes i said ebay so flame on but that being said id rather have an oem one from one of your cars thats being parted out so pm me if you have one

Doesn't say anything about fitting a lancer evolution. I may be wrong but the core support on lancers and evolutions are different. Good luck on your search. You can always go to the dealer...

 

Go through the dealer its around 254.00 i would ask the seller it could be the regular lancer since the es ls and oz rally are years 02-03. Needs to say evolution the supports are very different.

I did a evo ftont end conversion on my old lancer es

 

Get thru the dealer and let me know if you looking for a stock intercooler.

 

looks like the dealership it is, ill contact the seller and see if it fits doubt it from all your responces, and im all set on the stock intercooler, thank you though, picked one up the other day

 

Promise you it wont fit 02-03 lancer are the es, ls and iz rally it will say 03-06 lancer evolution core support

 

Don't even wait for the ebay sellers reply, half of them don't even know what an evo is.

I did and the page says it fits, so basically they have NO IDEA WHAT THERE TALKING ABOUT

talked to the dealer they want 333.33 for the entire front radiator core support unit

I can buy pieces for less, ill have to figure out what i need, would rather just buy the entire thing

 

Or you can buy a used one off here from a wrecked rear end evo

 

ya ive been looking in the part outs for the front clip but no ones got one as of now, deff in my best interest to keep looking however, i should be able to do better then 333.33 plus tax

 

If you have any buddies that own a business have them use a tax exempt form for you

 

good idea, called the dealership on the other side of town and there 277.25 for it, little bit better, had someone pm about one finally so hoping to go that route

 

Make sure you get the uprights with the front section. You have one in the center, and two on the ends where the headlight will attach. You will need to grind out the tack welds for all these pieces and for the main support to the frame rails.
