My apologies. I've heard there's a method of filling through the drain plug for the t-case as well, so I wasn't sure what the 'best' way listed was.

I've been able to fill up my tcase with the correct amount of fluid without needing to drive around in between fills. That's what I meant by not necessarily following the "proper" technique.

Grats on 308k...I really hope you hit 400k, overall it's very impressive...I shed a tear when I look at mine at 118k.

116k here. no smoke. no leaks. low compression in one cylinder, though, due to abuse by prior owner.

I really think this is a Northeast thing with long commutes. My buddy has 500k on his BMW 325
