Well if you really want to know, I used a GFB (gofastbits) stealth fx bov, that is now sitting in a box in my garage that you can change between vta and recirc, so you have have a super loud sound or a quieter recirc sound, PM me if you're interested, otherwise the whoosh sound should not be your biggest concern it should be building up to run e85

Get an open air filter. You'll hear the stock one louder, won't lose driveability by switching to a VTA BOV, and won't spend money replacing a part that's working properly in the first place, and pick up a couple of ponies in the process.

Failing that... Synapse recirculated BOV is my choice. Works great, doesn't flutter when configured properly and has a nice sound to boot.

If you don't have an intake yet, I'd start with that if you want a louder sound. My Evo x bov is almost too loud now (yes, recirculated) for my tastes and I got it hoping to be more quiet than my aps bov that came with my car.
