Evo 8 Fuel or Boost Cut Issue?

Hey guys, first off apologies if this is in the wrong section, mods feel free to move it if it is.

Anyways, this morning while I was taking my GF to work and as I was getting on the on-ramp to hop on the highway I did a 3rd gear WOT pull like I do whenever I can. Between 3500-5000rpm (I wasn't looking) it felt like I lost power for a split second two times in a row (maybe a second between both cuts), it almost felt like I just let off the gas pedal for a split second both times, but the pedal was firmly at WOT for the entire time. It was a very quick ordeal, and I tried to recreate (probably a bad idea, but I'm a Systems Administrator so if I encounter an issue I try to recreate it) it a few times with some 3rd gear pulls after I dropped the GF off but I couldn't. I kinda wrote it off, checked my intercooler piping and the general engine bay when I got home but everything seemed normal.

Later in the day on my way to class, I encountered it again on the same on-ramp, I tried a little harder to recreate the issue on the rest of the way to class, doing pulls whenever I could. Again I couldn't recreate it, I asked a few of my local Evo friends and they suggested a few things which I'll list later and told me to stop being a dumbass trying to recreate the issue before I grenade my engine. Anyways, after the second time I did 3-4 3rd gear pulls and 2-3 2nd gear pulls and one 4th gear pull. And my boost seemed fine (I don't have gauges for anything, so I can only tell by the sound and what it feels like, but it felt normal).

Mods are as followed:
Injen Intake & UICP (came with the car).
Buschur 3" TBE
Rest is stock to my knowledge, I bought the car 3-4 months ago and I have no idea if it's been tuned yet, but I haven't run into any issues like this before yet.

My buddies suggested I check my spark plugs to see if they're burnt, also to do a boost leak check when I can. Anyone have any other suggestions? I'll be driving it like a granny until I can do both of those, is it okay to do that or should I garage it for the rest of the week?

Also my engine seems to be clicking a little bit more than it used to... is it my imagination or could I have messed something up in the head?

yes, check you spark plugs. but, i bet your car is un-tuned and you should have a tuner take a look. or...... there is a ghost on that on ramp causing you car to do that. ahha.

I've been trying to wait until I had more parts for a tune, but maybe now would be a good time to do it anyways for piece of mind. I'll be able to check the plugs tomorrow, it seems to be fine when I'm granny-ing around so hopefully it stays that way. I'd be okay with it just being a ghost on that on-ramp, then I can just avoid it xD

Def check plug gap , around 20 should be good I think. But either way this usually happens when the cold air hits.

The weird thing is that it's been warmer than it was a few weeks ago, it was around 20s-30s for like a week before and the car was running perfectly, but now when it's 40-50 this started happening.

Just a quick update on this in case anyone comes across this on search, I swapped out the spark plugs with some new OEM ones and it fixed the issue.
