Check engine light :/

So my service engine light just randomly comes on, and I have no idea what it is. Fluids are good, vacuum hoses are good, oil good. Maybe spark plugs? I recently just put a full turbo back exhaust on as well...ideas?

How long does it come on for? Use a code reader and look under the "Pending Codes" Section. That may steer you in the right direction.

Service check engine light can be countless of things.. you need to pull codes. Advance autoparts, autozone or most auto parts store can read your car for you for free, Get a code and report back:

like the gentleman said go to get a free code reading, IGNOR WHAT THE autozone idiot will tell you he/she thinks it is,

( i can say that seeing as i worked ( yes past tence ) there and youd be amazed what people will say it baffles me, if there trying to sell injector cleaner as there monthly check out goal then they ll probably say its your injectors,, so here use this lol)

report back with the numbers it should be p then a 4 digit code or something close to that

if you just installed a full turbo back exhaust then your downstreem 02 might be tripping the code due to the fact there is no cat? dont know if you have one in there or not

let us know what you get with that code

Also note that you can get your own code reader if you have a smart phone for pretty cheap. Look up OBD2 dongle online and get one for about 15 USD and the application for it is about 5 USD. Though ordering the OBD2 online would come with a copy of the application on a disk.

I had the same problem. For about two weeks on and off my check engine light would come on. This was months after I installed a turbo back. I have a cel fix on my test pipe. I plugged in my Cobb ap and I had error code P0440. Evaporation emission Control malfunction. Basically my gas cap was bad. Got a new one and I've been riding clean for weeks. Good luck man.

i can't believe nobody has mentioned evoscan. it will tell you the code and what it means. no need for anyone else to touch your car or buy some silly code reader.
