Pivot small LED shift lamp

Brad over at www.tbracing.com suggested this unit, anyone have it or know of it? It runs about $120 from what I understand. I was going to pic up the shiftlight made by www.chiptorque.com.au for about $56 usd shipped but they won't answer my emails any more, pitty, was just what I wanted too, very simple in design allowing for limitless mounting possibilities. Here are pics of both, although the one that chiptorque sent me of their unit is not of it installed but you can get the idea.

PIVOT

ps. it's that little thing right over the center of the steering column.

My bro got one on his SiR. Looks cool, very small but powerful light. Hooks up to the cigarrette lighter. Or you can wire it directly. Here you can get one for around $95.
THUMB UP!

These work well, are adjustable by a dial and are compact.

the Pivot one is real nice. i was planning on picking one up soon also. I don't know if they go as high as $129 though. my buddy who owns this tuner shop has it for about $70. what's real nice about that small shift light is that if you're good with the Dremel, you can put it in the gauges to make it look stock (almost like the STI). i might do one when it gets warmer here.

I have the Rev-Lite installed in my car and it works great! You can see a photo of my car with it sitting atop the dash on their site. I'm sure paul@rev-lite.com will be responsive to to your questions. He was a pleasure to deal with.

that rev-lite is HOT!!...im a lil novice when it comes to install...i know the 12volt and the ground..but where did you connect that ign wire to? i have an OZ lancer and not an evo.

also, will my sound sytem affect it knowing that the subs will create voltage drop and these things usually read the voltage in your car.????

rev lite has an exposed wire and looks way too 80's to ever go into my evo, I'm all about function over form but that thing is just too fugly in my opinion, the Pivot unit looks very sleek and much less obtrusive.

I like that Rev Lite. I like that you have some advance notice with the red lights before hitting the shift point rather than just all of a sudden there it is like with the STi light.

The third wire goes to the tach signal either at the cluster or the ECU. Since it has a good bit of adjustment it can compensate for variations in signal type.

It's bright enough to go on top of the steering column shroud and as far as being 80's looking it's all what you make of the install. If someone wanted to be trick they could take the cover off of the unit and put the led array in the dash pael edge or something.

There ya go, now that would be pimp if someone incorporated the revlite's led's into the dash, that was my original idea for the chiptorque unit, isn't the revlite unit like $100? I found the Pivot unit for about $70, yeah I'm always on some sort of budget But I will give props on the pre shift lights on the revlite, I just need a single light personally due to how I drive, I adjust the steering wheel all the way down and due to my height I just can't see the tach past like 5500 or 6000 rpm's, I just need a basic single light unit.
