Missing Bolt/Slight Oil Leak

Was changing my oil and noticed the area to the right of my pan looked very greasy and there was some sort of leak. Car has been sitting since December.

Is there a bolt missing?

Had the clutch replaced 10,000 miles ago. I have never noticed a spot or leak on the floor, this seems to be a slight leak.

Is this something I should be worried about? Car runs great, never saw signs of this leak until now.

Need to find a bolt to replace it. Def don't want to be leaking that fluid. If I'm correct that's the transfer case and loosing fluid from that can be a 1k dollar mistake, for the price of a rebuild. Or if it's leaking trans fluid, that can be a big mistake as well, could run low on fluid causing either bearing failure which could result in breaking gears/shifter forks...

So there is definitely supposed to be a bolt there? It makes sense since it is threaded. Can someone possibly just check under there car for me

Thanks

That looks like it's migrating down from the back of the block/head, not with the flow of air towards the rear of the transfer case. I would check the rear of the block/head. Did you do a one by one head stud replacment in the past?

The head studs were installed by mojo motorports in LI using the 1X1 method. I will definitely check the back of block and head.

That's what it looks like, and sometimes they last for 5K, sometimes for 50K, but it looks like it's migrating down, not horizontal and forward from the transfer case.

Funny that you say 50k because it was almost exactly 50k miles ago. If this is the case, looks like Ill need a new head gasket and studs.

By any chance do you know if I am in fact missing a bolt in the first picture?

I'm not with my car right now, at work, but I'm sure others could chime in. With the close proximity of the two bolts, I wouldn't think that's a missing bolt for seal purpose.

Just checked, I don't have that bolt there as well, must be an alternative mounting point. If this is in deed your head studs leaking, you might as well do a Valve Job with a Head Up Gasket kit, and depending on your time spent on the Timing Belt, might do this as well. There's a couple Heater Hoses from the firewall to the back of the block, this is a good time to replace those as well, they like to burst with age. Your looking at about 3K, I just did this four month ago.
