I think, with the exception of the ten thousand different diffs and transfer cases and doohickies and whatnot, maintenance is on par with a regular newer vehicle.

Inner and outer rack ends, about $500 bucks, just changed mine after about 65k miles.

Bushings, ridiculously cheap from energy susp etc. about $300 for the parts and labour.

Again in Trinidad.

Is there a site where you can buy genuwine mitsubishi 60k, 80k, 120k maintenance kit? I know lexus is300 has those kits and can even get parts cheaper on lexus website parts dealer for being a forum member. Do evo owners get this hook up too?

I was just checking to see about how much others dump a month on what to get a general idea on what the possibilities could be and what they can add up to, from experience that is.

I'm not too sure about discounts but I know I've read gates has a 60k kit(don't quote me on that). I remember reading a thread that had the different ways to do the services with brands. I'll do some looking around and post that link for ya!

For example advance auto has 5 quarts of mobile 1 and mobile one oil filter on sale ocasionally for 35 dollars total. They also sell the syncromesh fluid i use in my trans for a decent price. They send 10 off 50 to me about every month in coupons so for around 40 dollars i can do and oil change and change the fluid in my trans.

Since last August I have changed oil once. So, that would be $25 for oil and $5 for a filter. Oh, I think I also put on some new wipers - another $15. So, six months for $45 or $7.50 a month.

Seems about right. Sounds about right for someone who takes care of their car

Completely agree, fuel will be your biggest expense. Don't plan on getting more than 220miles out of a tank unless you do a lot of highway driving.
