tial q flange weld?

tial q flange weld?
I Have a stock bov on my aftermarket uicp and I just purchased a tial q 50mm bov...my question is when welding the flange on do I just cut the stock bov stem and weld new flange on.....or do I have to cut the stock bov stem and use a hole saw to open the stock hole to 50mm??
