Be nice to get some evidence to back this up, I suppose its good information as long as its true....but you can't trust everything you hear. Also (as others have mentioned) there is probably a better sub forum for this thread.

The OP mentioned it was a "scam". Are they blowing customers motors on purpose? Sabotage? Then blaming it on the customer and over charging them to fix it? If so then that would be considered a "scam" and if so, is a serious accusation. Now negligence is not always a good thing but I wouldn't consider it a scam, which in this post, is what it sounds like.... Negligence. With a grain-of-salt as stated before, this should be taken, IMO. Btw, never been to the shop, not planning on it, don't know any of the staff there.

Many of you are correct, please excuse my poor grammar/spelling in the original post. I was extremely angry at the time and just wanted to get the word out to people. Anyway, these are based on personal experiences as well as close friends of mine who I had recommended to the shop. Some instances that occurred were a friend of mine leaving his truck at the shop for some work to be performed and they cracked the windshield, kept the truck for longer than needed/expected so when my friend showed up and saw the windshield cracked, he immediately asked what happened and no one knew what he was talking about he must have brought it in that way.
Another instance occurred when my friend brought his evo in for headwork, left there and a week later the motor blew. A local guy was in the paper here too because he was good friends with the guys who work there, had some work done to his car, ended up being a "throw parts at it situation" didn't fix the car properly the first time, so he was out a lot of money. He had a set of wheels there that he had to bring home, turns out no one from the shop called him to take them home (mind you they were friends prior to the "not fixed properly" situation) but the owner sold them to someone right from under him without any knowledge or permission.

Listen I know people are going to do whatever they want. I am just here to share my extremely poor experience with people that I know care about their cars just as much as we do.

Thanks.

Fair enough. Appreciate the notion.

Also, that math in the original post is flawed. Someone 22 y.o has 5 years experience in the auto industry? Can't see it. Even with vocational schools at most it'd be 18-22 working in the field doing anything other than grunt work.

Regardless.
