Hey everyone, so recently the engine let go on my evo 8, rather than building it I am putting another low mileage motor in it and I'm just gonna try to bring back close to stock.

This is my main question. I had 272 hks cams in it, with 780cc injectors and evo 9 turbo with ported manifold.

The long block that I got only has a stock head, I plan on putting the 780cc injectors back in the longblock with the same turbo setup. The pcm is already scaled for 780 injectors. Do you think its safe to fire the vehicle up with the old tune? I'm sure its going to run really rich, but I need to ge the car running first.

Any input would be great?

 

should be fine as long as it isnt like a stroker. wouldnt run it hard until you get it logged after you get it all together and if needed, some further tuning.

 

Should be fine, but of course I wouldn't do more than just cruising.
