Hello,
Reporting back after few days. I drove the ix gray with black wheels and I fell in love with the car and how it's driven. When I got there they had washed the engine bay out, saw rust on the top of the strut mounts and on the abs module by passenger side had brake lines going in. Car was driven very well no noise or anything but I didn't end up getting it. They were asking $24995, with tax license out the door was $26995 with $4000 down. I told them I would think about it. I love the car so i'm going to stick with it final decision and pick one out within few months to year. I will find the chosen one. The vehicle came from 3 owners one in PA, delware, and ny and now in chicago.

I wouldn't pay $25,000-$27,000 for an Evo 8. Could have 20k miles doesn't matter, If I were in the market for an evo around that price range, it would be a clean low mileage IX.
If it's slim pickings for decent evo's, you should think about going out of state , it would give you a lot more options and a greater chance at finding better deals. It's not that far of a drive but I traveled 8 hours to Southern California for my 8. Local Evo's were beat to sh*t and and not worth it (at the time). I picked my white 05 w/ssl for $22k with 19,000 miles back in 2011.
Don't just settle any evo that is halfway decent and don't allow yourself to get overly excited either. Mistakes are made when you lose patience.
