Gurus please come in here! Everything I need to know.
Guys that rust has me worried, this is the special edition he didn't show me this when I went there few days ago. The first one he said it was sold they had just gotten this SE model when I got there. I will see in person how this looks. The back corner top left in the engine bay see lots of rust.....
Yea. Walk away if there's anything you don't like or if they don't cut a fair deal.. Theres TONS of Evo's out there.
Make sure their is no " cancerous" rust on the car any where. Surface rust or a little bit of rust in general would be expected for those in the salt belt portion of US..

Carfax shows only 1 owner. Price $24,995
Looks pretty much stock. If it has Navigation system and the SSS package it looks like a good deal. If your going to need advice on a Evo X maybe you should make a new thread in the Evo X Section

Don't listen to the people on here. $24500 for that Gray Evo is a great price and that's retail. Go look on here in this FS Section there is EVO IX's with 88k GOING FOR $23 THOUSAND private party and that doesn't include shipping and all the other stuff.
The car also looks like a Evo IX Special Edition (SE)... is it? If it is your buying one rare car. How is the interior on it? Does it have the SE "Red Stitched" Seating? If it does those seats alone are worth a lot of money. Does it have the XENON Hid headlights? I see it has the BBS Wheels and the SE Special edition Lip so I am assuming it is a SE Edition.
Anyone in the Illinois area knows these cars go for over $25 thousand easily. If the brakes are bad im sure the dealer will change them out for you or resurface them.

Oops, maybe I spoke too soon about pricing ... seems like they've gone up since I needed to check:

I paid 17 and traded a motorcycle (worth 4k at the time).
I bought my curent evo not running for 10 and put about 8 into it to get it to the level the blue car was at.

Only reason I wouldn't get the X is because it's an 08. First production year of the CZ4A which, from what I've learned, can potentially have headaches further down the road. I.e. fuel pump and tranny problems, iirc. Other than that I'd pull the trigger. Also I just like CT9A's better
Why don't you go buy this one, seems like a good deal:
