Evo values rose again (KBB)

I've been following values/browsing classifieds for Evo's (VIII/IX) and GD STI's since they were brand new models and I'm shocked every time I check "appraised" values for these cars. I understand KBB is a "negotiating" pointe between buyer-seller, but these cars have a "higher value" with more miles now then they do in 08-09. Just figured I'd note.

Now, I'm curious.
For those who would like to share, how much did you pay or sell your Evo for, when and some pertinant info about the car? (mileage, modifications, running, broken, needed TLC, clean title, salvage, exceptionally clean, beat up etc.)

Thanks for the feedback.

You could likely give someone a "deal" on that and turn it for a nice profit.
Everyone wins!
Good shape cosmetically/mechanically, clean title?

That's a hell of a price regardless, how'd you get a price like that?

Yea clean title.. Very clean from down south. Never seen snow/salt. SSL. Well maintained. The guy was in a bind and needed the cash. I negotiated my *** off n flew out n drove it back 7 hrs. Best deal ever. At this point I would never let it go for less than 20000. Many stock parts replaced. All fluids fresh few bolt ones. It's clean!

Actually dirty in this pic

I like to check KBB every now and then just for and I've noticed the same thing. I actually bought mine in 09 for$12K when KBB on it was about $14K-15K. You have to remember that 09 was during the heart of the recession so the value of a lot of things was down. Obviously the values of Evos has rebounded nicely. I think the economy improving has certainly helped but it's probably more due to the fact that Evos (especially 8s and 9s) are becoming more and more rare and it looks like the XI will be the last model.

Wow, all you guys got good deals but me. Nice work fellas.
I'm sure the economic downturn played a role, but values have appreciated in the past two years as well.

GEVOVIII, that's a KILLER buy. Salvage title IX's go for more than that. Nice work. Next time I'll be patient and shop much better.

Ian0611, post up some pics of that beast.

nada is suppose to be more accurate, kbb is usually low but evo 8&9 kids like it because the value goes up instead of down on like any other car on kbb, so banks and dealers go of nada
