Evo values rose again (KBB)
sooo, are california cars more valuable then?? im seriously thinking of selling mine with only 32k on the clock......NEVER seen foul weather and never has been parked outside. ever. 2004 Evo8 with SSL package...hmmm..???
Evo's could be had for 10K eeeasy in 08 (bought a stocker then), now it seems like there's no way you can even buy a pile of crap for 12K. Low milers are 17-18K?!
Very happy to have mine at a good price, but damn these hold their value!

Evo's in South Africa are rare as ever, SA only received 50 evo 8's and 50 evo 9's, they were launched here in 2004 at a price of +- $45k and low milers are currently selling, well if you can find clean examples for +- $35k. Can only imagine how many are left after 9years
I was going to say it's a good arbitrage opportunity but you have 65% import duty so derg!

Here's another crazy example. 06 GSR with 10K miles, asking price is it's MSRP in 2006.
And another IX GSR (this is an SE) with 10K that looks "fairly priced" by comparison.

I'll never sell my evo, even if I buy a new car, I'm putting the evo on non op and garage keeping it. Hopefully when I'm older I'll be like Jay Leno and have a collection of cool cars to mess with, but I digress, that's just a pipedream.
I think I turned down a 25k offer and the dealership kept trying to buy my car off me and trying to sell me the new evo, turned them down too.
The evo was a childhood dream car for me, I do not take it for granted even after owning it for about 9 years. My car is well maintained, hasn't had a DTC since the one time like 5 years ago, drives like a champ, I can see myself driving it much longer still, only problem is I'm getting older and older and might not match the car in the near future.
