Question Help! Broken Downpipe bolts

Swapping out the clutch of an Evo 8 and when I was taking off the down pipe I snapped both bolts off by the manifold. I know how to attempt to get them out, but I need some ones help telling me what size and where I can get these bolts. Thanks and please help.

This is not going to be an easy fix. Being that you don't know the solution, I'm going off on a limb here and assume that this task to fix these bolts will be too difficult for you to accomplish.

Have the car brought to a professional. The bolts will either be drilled out or the person have weld a bolt to what ever is left (if long enough) and remove it after.

Thanks for your input, maybe I should rephrase my question. Once I tap these two bolts out what size and where do I buy 2 new ones. Thanks in advance.

Blow torch and vise grips works well if there's still a stud sticking out.

Stick with OEM bolts for the down pipe. You can get them at the dealership.

There really is no replacement for the oem bolt in that area. Your best bet is to contact Peter@JNZtuning, Russell@mitsubishiparts.net, or Jomer@FredBeans.

They can get you oem parts a lot cheaper than your local stealership.

Don't cheap out on bolts dude, you're just asking to break more of them... The OEMs are expensive but really your only option to retain factory strength/reliability. Home Depot bolts might be a good temporary fix, but they won't hold up long-term.

Just drill out the holes just enough to slide a bolt through. Use high grade/strength nut, bolt and washers.

Do you mean you snapped the bolts that go to the o2 housing?

If so, I've done that on the OEM o2 housing. I bought an aftermarket o2 housing and used SS bolts with fender washers and reused the spring. Eventually I got the OEM ones. I used the bolts for several years without any problems.
