Any "How to" on hood restoration?
My hoods full of rock chips. I wanna strip all the paint and repaint it. Any guide or "how to" on how to do it? I was planning on sanding all the paint down and reprinting it Oem TB.

My paint is so shiny and reflective so i want to keep this look. And yes my TB has purple specks in it. Im gonna sand the whole thing down and see how this comes out
I had my vortex generator painted (already mounted) by a decent body shop with the oem paint code for $90. It looks factory and has lasted 2 years looking like new. I would save yourself the risk of screwing it up and just have someone do it for like $200. If you think about the time you're going to spend doing it and what your time is worth, it'll probably be cheaper to have an experienced pro do it. my .02. Painting takes years to learn and expensive tools to do correctly.
Oh I see you're in nova. I went to craftsman autobody in chantilly. They're better at painting cars than mitsubishi seems to be. Only thing thats annoying is their waiting list is like 3 weeks.
Probably even cheaper to buy a used hood with good paint.
