and next time leave the car off when working on it, or just turn on the accessories and not the entire ignition circuit

If you bought the battery back in 09 then I recommend you just buy a new battery. Sounds like you would have been due for it soon anyhow.

Well good news, yesterday battery was at ~10 volts not enough to start the car, and autozone said it was a dead battery and didn't even try to charge it. Today when I took the battery back to hook it up I saw it was pushing 12 volts now, and it was just barely enough to start the car yay.

I took the car down to a dealership and see what they can tell me. They told me the battery is good, I just let it run down too low.

Thanks for the advice everyone, this battery is my 2nd one and my first battery died like this, I now need to buy some kind of jumper/battery charger tool so I can have something to recover if this battery ever dies.
