Took a peak at my exhaust system today. I have a high flow cat, an extended resonator, and a magnaflow muffler all in 3 inch piping. I know a lot of you guys run test pipes with no resonator and/or muffler so I'm a little interested in your power gains after a decent tune with those combos. Thanks.

 

Cats, resonators, and mufflers will rob power.... How much depends on the designs of them

 

 

I would think that the power losses would be minimal or at least nothing an extra psi of boost couldnt cure. I would also weigh the power gained/loss to noise ratio.

 

If it really concerns you that much, you can just figure out a way to remove weight to compensate for those 3-4 hp. I think that's like 20lbs.
