unf**kingbelievable
I took my car to the dealer over two weeks ago for a misfire. I've gotten my car back at random intervals for short periods of time (never more than a day)with the promise of it being fixed. This is the fifth time it's been back. So far they have replaced a pin in the electrical harness, the wastegate soleniod, and most recently the entire turbo. The tech stayed late last night to finish the turbo install, when he finished he took it for a road test. He returned and said" I think we got it this time." They didn't so, I call the service manager this morning to tell him it's still not fixed and tell him exactly how frustrated I'm getting with this whole situation. Then he tells me about how he's never going to get paid for that turbo since it didn't fix the problem and he'll be happy to see that car go when they figure out what is wrong with it. WTF, I'm not the one who was troubleshooting the ****ing thing, if his mechanic can't get the diagnosis right take it up with him. It's a $2,000 part he says. Yeah well it's a $30,000 car that ain't doin **** because it misses so bad it'll about put your head through the damn windshield. I'm usually a pretty laid back person but I'm about at the end of my rope with this ****. And listen to this the car is missing right, they didn't even look at the plugs, coil packs, or wires.I would think those would be the first things to check. I looked at the plugs but, they looked fine. Sorry if my language offends anyone I'm just really pissed off and needed to vent.

Check out the following link on lemon law information. I think you can research this by state.

Thank's for the support. I've got a friend who's wife is a contract lawyer reading over that right now but, I'm trying not to go that route because it's just a pain in the *** for everyone. I'm really not trying to be an ******* but, thats starting to look like my only option.
Hey, thats exactly what happened to me. My car was misfiring and the dealer couldn't figure out the problem. After getting the car back twice and a water pump leak, they finally figured out there was coolant in my first spark plug hole. The conclusion was there's a hair line crack on the cyclinder head. They end up replacing the whole head and now the car is running great. I waited over a month for them to fix my car too, just have to be patient sometimes. I feel what you are going through, sorry to hear bro. Best regards to u and the evo.

Yeah, they did a compression check and everything is good and the plugs looked good but burning very FAT so, I don't believe that's the problem. But I appreciate the kind words and any possible ideas.
At least the dealer is actually trying to figure out the problem. The dealer I go to won't even replace a single part unless they can prove that it is the problem. So I have to live with this big clunking noise in the driver side front suspension. Even though they hear it and know there is a problem.
You are definitely dealing with your sitaution a lot better then I would have.

That is very rough man! Sorry to hear about that. I'd take it up with Mitsubishi and use a lawyer on them. Demand a new Evo to replace your "defective" one which is still under warranty. Do whatever you can to get a perfect running car out of this!

I'd get a lawyer too.. I'm pretty laid back also..
And for them to talk about not getting paid for parts etc.. It almost seems like they think it's your fault.. VERY unprofessional i my opinion...
Just out of curiosity.. how many miles is on your car? any mods?
