Help with evo modification

I'm fairly new here and want to get a few questions. I just installed a weapon-r air intake into my evo 8 and using the stock bov. My car will randomly stall our of the blue and sometimes when I'm slowing down or something it'll go into a stage where its going to stall but done stall. I am guess its a leak or something thats causing it. I am not sure what to do. I put the stock intake back on and nothing happens. But when I put the new intake on, the problem occurs. Anyone with any suggestions? Much appreciated.

I have heard (at least on SR20's in 240s) when you change the intake on them without tuning for it, it messes up the tune because the MAF's are really sensitive on those engines. I don't know if the same is true for the 4g or not though.

I had similar problem and blow off valve was staying open and car would stall. I replaced blow off valve and problem sorted. We did make the mistake of installing a blow off valve that was suited to map sensor. Have now swapped with recirculating tial. If ur bov staying open it will stall
