Hey guys looking at an 05 evo 8 with 75k miles. Car has a spun bearing but runs, I don't know if the trans or transfer case is good. According to the owner it is. Also the front bumper needs re spay (+missing front lip), rear bumper has spider cracks in paint, and trunk has dents that might be able to be paint less dent removal. He wants 10K. Would you guys purchase this car for that much?

 

What mods are on the car? Do you have any pics?

 

Mods are intake, turbo back exhaust, aftermarket enkei wheels (black) and megan manifold. I don't have any pictures but looked at it today, interior is pretty clean, and exterior is good besides the bumpers and trunk. Color is black.

 

Forgot it has lowering springs but not sure on brand

 

Spun bearing? You're going to end up rebuilding the motor dude. There are plenty of good used cars being sold...mine included. LOL.

 

Mostly looking at this car to fix it up and sell. Since I can do all the mechanical work myself .Just don't want to price myself out of the market with a parts bill thats too big.

 

10k is high for a car with issues and a blown motor. I would say 7k tops. Then after buying a used motor and install your at 10k and you can sell for 12-15 with the damage taking away from lower miles.

 

I wouldnt pay more than 6k but for rebuilding and selling it, its not a bad idea. Source out a stock engine for 2k or 3k, repaint the front bumper and sell it for maybe 13k tops.

 

i wouldnt for that price. theres locals here that cant even sell their evos with blown head gaskets for 6k.

let alone the one ur looking at has a spun bearing. who knows what else is wrong. i'd pass.

 

Is the car an clean title?
