I have found many Evo's out there that are at that power level, but they are some of the most ill maintained ones I've seen. The ones closer to stock or highly modified seem to be the most well taken care of. In all of the research I have done to this point the transfer case has some weaknesses but isn't a deal breaker for me to sway against getting a better base Evo for a starting point.

I have owned my Evo VIII for 2 years. Right now I am interested in an Evo IX MR. I want something newer, I want the BBS wheels, and I want a nicer interior.

While not really looking at the MR's I do like the IX interiors better especially the SE's. I priced out changing an VIII interior for a IX (seats mainly), and it wouldn't be to bad but why get something that I'm not totally happy with in the beginning.
