Evo 7, next mods

Hi all, been lurking here for a while and looking to get some advice.

Have a 7 that I had tuned last year, no major mods at the moment just an apexi intake and boost gauge.
Looking to get a retune soon and want to know what mods I should do before the retune.
I'm contemplating 3 inch exhaust from the front pipe back, boost controller, metal diverter valve and walbro 255 pump.

I'm pretty sure about the exhaust being a good idea but about the boost controller and metal diverter valve? Would they be a worthwhile addition?
Also I've read that the pump is a good addition to the car, just want to confirm that it would be sensible given the mods I'm planning.
Thanks

So you were tuned last year without raising the boost right?if so you need mbc to raise the boost(approximately 23psi) and metal dv will hold the boost much better then plastic.walbro 255lph also needed to supply more fuel. basically you need these 3 parts to make 300 whp.good luck.

awesome thanks, that's what I thought.
Yes boost was not raised during the first tune which is why I want a retune with a few mods.

What is your goal? Are you going to do the work? What's your budget?

street car only. I don't really have a goal so much as a budget.
Basically want to kick my performance up a bit and looking for the most cost effective mods. From what I gather this means upgrading the DV and getting an EBC so I can run more boost and a fuel pump to play it safe. With the TBE these seem to be the best mods without upgrading doing something drastic like changing the turbo or fmic. Also those mods I can install myself.
Going to stick with a high flow cat cause a test pipe won't go down well if I get pulled over

Don't waste your money on an ebc, just get a manual one. Or 3 port ebcs, either way both cheaper and better in my opinion

Yeah I've heard ebcs is the way to go.
One thing I don't understand though, isn't the ebcs still controlled by the factory ecu? I mean I understand you get it tuned but it's just a solenoid that replaces the factory solenoid right?
So what can it do that the factory solenoid can't already do? Aren't they both controlled by the ecu?

They're both controlled by the ECU but the 3 port has the capability of effectively controlling your boost at higher than stock levels. The Grimmspeed install instructions explain it very well. I looked for a link but it's a download. Basically the stocker just bleeds pressure away from the wastegate while the 3-port can isolate the wastegate from seeing any boost pressure until it is desired.

Manual Boost Controller - Hallman Pro - It's the only boost controller we use, for a reason.
Walbro 255
Downpipe, Test Pipe, Exhaust.
Tune.

Keep an eye out for a clutch, you'll probably need one soon.
