Stock Evos
Not necessarily. I bought mine from here with 66k miles and it was bone stock. I even searched all the previous owner's posts and found no record of any mods. And, nobody in their right mind would spin every intake/intercooler clamp to be in the most unreachable rotation possible. Only those sadists at Mitsubishi would do such a thing.
As others have said, 30k hard miles are way worse than 120k properly maintained miles.

Removing it makes the clutch engagement much more predictable, and the car is easier and more fun to drive overall. I love it. Also you won't slip or burn the clutch as much so the clutch lasts longer. It was something mitsubishi added to try to reduce warranty claims from people launching and breaking things, but I don't drag it so I don't care. It may also have something to do with oem evo clutches being notorious for a short life.
But most people still holding onto stock Evos likely:
1. Aren't selling, unless it's for a nice chunk of change or an emergency needing the money.
2. Aren't selling anytime soon.
3. Aren't selling, period.

I spent a good 30-45 min meticulously looking at every single bolt & clip within reason for tool marks. There was no hardware missing anywhere. I was also the one that broke the stock air box while removing the MAF nuts from the inside so i know it was never reinstalled prior to selling the car [=
