Damn 10800 for a evo9 is a steal, miles mean little compared to condition. Anything can be beat to **** even at 30k or less.

Patience is a virtue

It took me almost 4 years to find the right Evo. I'm the new owner for a little over two weeks now, and we found each other at a point when I'd lost all hope and was about to quit looking. Never, ever settle for less than what you want - don't rush it.
If the deal doesn't seem right, or doesn't go through - it wasn't meant to be. Like you said, count it as a blessing. Would never anticipate such hard work, but it's all so worth it in the end! Good luck bud.

That is very true. I am a very impatient person but I'm good when I spend decent amount of Money to know if it worth it or not. That's why I usually always talk to the owners for a week or so before I even make my mind up because you can tell a lot on how the car was treated based on how the owner talks and what they say and how they say it. I'm just ready to get in one because I miss the driving mine soooo bad lol

Go for it!

Biggest wear items will be the shocks

1000 or so for replacements.

Bushings should be replaced
My white line kit for every bushing on the car costed me alittle over 1100

Motor if the compression is good keep it.

A basic h beam 2.0l motor is around 2500-3000

Basic trans rebuild is 1000

Basic tcase rebuild is 400

Rear diff is fairly cheap to rebuild.

I think replacing all of these things, if they even need to be replaced would be under

10k with labor

Good luck!

For 10k I would buy it and ride it out until it breaks, then build it after it breaks
