I personally find the STI seats are more comfortable but then you'll basically be sitting on a couch with no support when carving canyons etc.

I'd argue the Evo X seats are far better than the previous Evo seats. I've driven for 9hr+ trips and had no discomfort at all. The Evo IX and previous seats gave lower back pain after about 3 hours for me.

I will say that the evo 9 seats for some reason seem to make my right knee ache during Lon drives. I'm not sure if it's the seating position but nothing has helped and I even bought the binary seat brackets and those sort of helped but the pain still comes back. I haven't has that issue in any of my daily driven cars.

+1

I preferred the IX seats over my X as far as being comfortable. The X seats kill me after and hour. And I'm 22.

I guess it proves we aren't all made the same. For me the VIII seats were made in heaven - could drive all day in blissful comfort. I now have IX seats in my car and they are a little narrow in shoulders for me, especially if wearing a heavy coat - otherwise the same.

I'm going through the same problem! If u know someone with a new boss 302 mustang u should really try those seats! Those recaros are so comfy!! Also X nor 8 seats aren't any better.

For me my IX seats are hands down the most comfortable seats I've ever had. I did sit in an X at the dealer one time and the seats were slightly more comfortable. As suggested lean the seat back a little bit. I have mine set so my back is flat against the whole seat and have plenty of lumbar support. If that doesn't suffice for you I'd look into aftermarket seats rather than a seat from another vehicle, depends on your price range.

Hmm am I the only one who actually finds that my IX seats are comfortable?? Before I owned my evo I've been driving my family's accord and man those seats hurt my back like hell and I was only 17....

Maybe I'm missing something community consensus... but is there a huge difference in the stock VIII Recaros and say the MR Suede IX seats? To me other than the hugging action around the hip and butt area they don't feel any different to me. Is it just me?
