IX seats are killing me

The seats are great when carving or braking hard but for long drives I'm in pain after an hour. After 10 hours (which I do regularly) my back is in so many knots it takes days to recover. I love the car, for my purposes it is better than most out there and certainly for the money but am seriously considering selling it for this reason alone. So does anyone know if S4, TT, M series or even Porsche seats will fit? I don't want to give up the side bolsters as they are not the problem. The problem is total lack of lumbar support, most of the pressure from the seat back is high between my shoulders, and the seat back pushes shoulders forward which is a horrible posture for any amount of time.

Ok but Recaro is a German company and are what you'll find in any of the vehicles I mentioned above. Racing seats are great for racing but are not generally adjustable (lumbar, height, rake, etc.). Not so sweet for long drives.

You win lol very true but I'm just saying why put bimmer seats or Audi seats in your car when you can surly find a good comfy aftermarket seat. I gotta say the new Sti seats are really comfy but you won't catch me putting Thoes in my
Ride lol

This has been a kicker for me lately too. What I thought were super comfy seats 4 years ago, have now been some of the most uncomfortable seats to sit in, past 30 min drive lol.

Ive heard brides are comfortable, never had a chance to sit in them though. Im only 27, but yea, stock evo seats are just terrible for comfort lol. Evo 10 seats arent any better either.

I was having a similar issue after 4 or so hours driving. I found angling the seat back so you're in a more relaxed position helped and I didn't have any issues on the drive home.

I'm guessing by your username you love the BBC, OP. You sure the back pain isn't from something else?

The 8 seats would be better for you as it doesn't hug you as tight as the 9s.
