Do I have a Bad tob ???
Hey evom, my car has been making a light sqeaking sound and can't pin poin it. I think it's my tob cuz it completely stops once I push in the clutch or slightly push it in. My clutch does feel I little worn but not slipping or anything. I just put in a act clutch about 10-15k miles, never lauched the car but have done hard pulls. Also not having no clutch chatter. Again it's a squeking sound like a bad pulley or something. I did spray wd40 on my belt and pulleys to see of it was an didn't make a deferent. Any help or feed back would be great. Thanks everyone.
If you put the ACT throw out bearing in there with the clutch then I'd be $10 it's the TOB. Anything other than OEM is garbage and doesn't last for crap. Exedy is the only manufacturer I'm aware of that sends real OEM bearings with their clutch kits.
If you touch the clutch pedal and it goes away, it's pretty hard for it to be anything other than the TOB. Massive longshots by comparison, anyway.
+1 on OEM or bust.
Also keep in mind the OEM is **** too, just much better **** than the aftermarket ones. These TOBs all will make noise sooner or later. It might be in 5000 miles, it might be in 5000 feet. It was bad enough Mitsubishi had several internal documents instructing to no longer replace noisy ones, even with no miles on them, as it was a trait of the component. Just be on the look out for godawful noise levels.

Or it might be at 89.000 miles like as when my stock clutch gave out and the OEM TO bearing that I pulled out of the black murk was a smooth as whipped cream. I'd have stuck it back in and run it some more if I hadn't had a new one on hand. Sure, mine rattled anytime I had the A/C on - that is normal. So, no, I'm not convinced TO bearings are as bad as you portray them.
They are all noisy, just like you said "that is normal". Some are quieter than others, but I have never noticed one that was dead silent on these, not even when they had zero miles on them and I was doing post port inspections.
