so to cut right to it when i have the car in neutral i hear this chattering noise coming from the transmission and when i push the clutch in the noise goes away. the car does have a competition clutch that the previous owner put on before i bought it. is that noise just the clutch? or should i be worried. p.s the car does not grind in any gear and there are no pop outs

normal, Even more so if u have a Twin disc.

 

Check your tire pressures and make sure they are the same also the tire wear needs to be even. if they aren't even the drivetrain will be loaded against itself and will make noises when coasting off throttle while in gear. Noise goes away when clutch is depressed and in neutral or while on throttle.

 

Sounds like it's just normal clutch chatter.
