pros and cons
Pros:
Still one the best handling cars you can get from the factory
Stupidly Fast with minimal mods
One of the most fun cars to drive ever made
Makes me smile every time i get in it
Makes Subaru guys sad
My Father whos a huge porsche owner fan/club has driven mine while im out of the country for work relocation and said its probably the most fun car hes ever driven "a go cart rocket ship on steroids."
Cons:
I wouldnt consider an EVO a viable DD. Unless you're 16-18, even then so they're loud noisy and too expensive for a 16-18 year old to drive in my opinion.
Noisy(if modded for power)
Strange Noises
Turning Radius is awful
Fuel Tank too Small
Bad Range on Fuel Tank(especially if using e85)
Previous owners lie about what was done to them
Maintenance is expensive, especially since you are likely to be the third or fourth owner

Never owned a Z. I bet the are great cars. I am now on my 4th Evo. 2 8's and 2 9's. And because of divorce I was out of my evo for about 4 years. Once you get that taste..it's like an addiction. Evo's are amazing in so many aspects, and I think everyone has hit the main pros and cons. Better handling, faster, more fun, easy mods, easy power. But more expensive, and higher maintenance costs, and the higher the HP the more things break....but if you want a low 12 second car that you can daily drive and beat most on the street....along with handling and great in the snow....then Evo it is. You would NOT be unhappy getting an Evo!

Pros
Awd (snow came down heavy this am and with snow tires I had no issues while watching others fishtail and what not)
Unique
Excellent handling
Can be a fast dd for relatively cheap
IMO....safe due to the above and electronics....pending u don't drive like a jerk
Cons
Small gas tank
Backseat doesn't fold down
Always worry someone will step on side skirt

pros: when most say i know what a z is and what is an evo?
great going fast in curves
sounds like a monster when WOT
i dd mine and i have no issues
relatively easy hp gains on any mod
SNOW MODE
cons: gas milage
turning radius
i didn't inspect my car before buying... huge mistake look at the car: under, in, get an experienced tuner to look it over on the technical side just to make sure your not buying issues
