cold outside can't start my evo
Guys what the hell happened.tonight was -2* next morning I couldn't start my car.motor was cranking but didn't fire up.shall I spray a little starting fluid or try to pull it with rope and put it in second gear.I have that car for 6 years and never happed before.I'm on 93 octane, basic modifications.the strange thing is that I drove from work and parked on my drive way like always.it drove fine, nothing was wrong.any input appreciated.
Place the car on ACC and see if you can hear the Wally working. Also, if your battery is old you may want to try testing it. It could also be a bad ignition switch. Keep us posted and good luck!
Ok will do.also I'm planning to disconnect high pressure hose directly from the pump housin, start cranking and watch if fuel is spraying.I can do it at fuel rail but I think this way is quicker.

Update.just got home and it's around 14* outside.after cranking like for 15 sec car fired up.all I can think off is fuel got so cold that it was unable to ignite.thanks guys....or fuel pump about to say good bye.

Your not going to hear the wally working until the car is cranking, being that the fuel pump relay is controlled by seeing a signal from both the crank and cam position sensor, as well as the ecu immobilizer. Unless of course the car was rewired for aftermarket pump applications.
What spark plugs are you running? Had that problem last winter when I was running BR8es plugs, went a step warmer to br7es for cold months, solved my cold starting issues. This was on E85 if that matters.
