Your gonna have to buy an ETS, or similar, forward facing turbo kit. It's the only way the turbo whistle will be strong enough to find its path through the exhaust and out the tail pipe.

Lol I know exactly what your talking about man. The srt4 has that spooling sound because from factory the car has no muffler. So most guys remove the resonator and cat to get that sound. If you do the same to the evo you will get that spooling gurgling sound. 3 inch turbo back! No cat, no resonator, no muffler just straight pipe. Loud as eff though...

Hey I also know what you're talking about, I had the same whistle on my apex silver evo IX. Okay so I was shopping for a buschur exhaust because of the clean look. There's different buschur tbe, I went with the v-band with the sd mid section muffler

Run an open down pipe with a turndown or just do a straight pipe exhaust with no res.

Open dump. Here's the difference from a cutout:

I don't recommend it. I have to scream at passengers. English racing sells a test pipe boost activated dump that in my opinion would be simpler than an electronic cut out and only is open in boost. Best of all worlds.
